  • Project must be in a rural area (towns under 50,000 population)
  • Majority owned by US citizens or permanent residents
  • Unable to obtain affordable commercial credit elsewhere
  • No delinquent federal debt
How to apply
Contact a local IRP intermediary (often a nonprofit or community lender) in your area and apply to them directly; your USDA Rural Development state office can name them.
