Value-Added Producer Grants (VAPG)
Grants that help agricultural producers plan or launch processing and marketing of value-added products made from their own raw commodities.

- Up to $200,000Planning grants up to $50,000; working capital grants up to $200,000.
- Your share
- 1:1 match equal to 100% of the grant amount (cash or eligible in-kind)
- Who can apply
- Agricultural producers, producer groups, farmer/rancher cooperatives or majority-controlled producer-based ventures
- Must own and produce more than 50% of the raw commodity
- Must expect higher revenue from the value-added product than from the raw commodity
- Priority for beginning, veteran and socially disadvantaged producers, small/medium family farms, cooperatives and mid-tier value chains

- Apply via Grants.gov or your state USDA Rural Development office when the annual funding notice opens.

- FY2026 round closed: applications accepted from February 17, 2026 to 1:00 p.m. ET, April 22, 2026. Next round not yet announced.
